Integrated Pest Management Notification

INDIAN PRAIRIE COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT #204
Indian Prairie School District 204
1250 Shore Rd
Naperville, IL 60563

Dear Parent, Guardian or Staff Member:
Public Acts 91-0099 and 91-0525 mandate Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for Illinois public schools. IPM manages pest damage with the least possible hazard to people, property and the environment; including judicious use of pesticides. In this context, “pesticide” includes insecticide, herbicide, rodenticide, and fungicide.

IPM provides parents/guardians or staff members with prior notice of herbicide application. Please be aware that on Monday November 23rd, Wednesday December 2nd, and Thursday December 3rd 2020, weather permitting, a weed control application will applied to the mulched areas, courtyards, fenced areas, fence lines, athletic fields, cracks and crevices 2 Baseball infields and bleacher pads at Neuqua Valley High School property. This application will be a “Pre-Emergent”. We match herbicide and application procedures to our school environment. All are approved for school use, and are an important part of buildings and grounds maintenance. Typically, this application will not present a health concern to students or staff. However, it is the intent of IPM to allow those with special sensitivity to take appropriate precautions: in the case of children, as determined by a parent or guardian.

If you have further questions, please call my office at (630)428-6005.
Sincerely,
Sean Jones

NVHS Theatre Presents Love Letters

With the weather getting a bit chillier, we hope you join us for a virtual night in at the theatre. Love Letters by A.R. Gurney is set to debut on our nvhstheatre.com website for FREE this Friday, November 20th at 7:15pm. Can't make the Friday virtual premiere? No worries, we plan to leave it up for some time afterwards.

Director Will Schaub has done a wonderful job working with students remotely and when you have a moment, please be sure to congratulate him. Additionally, student editor Gracie Torrez deserves praise for her hard work in making the production possible.

Play Synopsis:
Melissa and Andy's story begins with birthday party invitations and letters from summer camp, and it continues, through many stages, until the very end of their lives. Love can take many forms and isn't always easy to define. Thus, Love Letters is a complicated, realistic story of friendship. It isn't a love story in the traditional sense, but the importance of human connection is revealed through the letters these two shared with each other over the course of their lives. In these times of isolation, it's comforting to see that we can still reach out and support each other.

Due to circumstances concerning the COVID-19 outbreak, Neuqua Valley Theatre welcomes donations to keep the program running efficiently. Donations will directly contribute in continual student opportunities.

Donations can be made out to NVHS Theatre and mailed to the following address:
