NV Cheer Try-Out Meeting

Any athletes interested in trying out for the 2015-2016 Neuqua Valley Cheerleading team must attend an informational meeting with a guardian on April 14th at 5:30pm. The meeting will take place at the main building in the LMC. You must attend the meeting in order to be eligible to try-out.

NVHS Seniors - Report Your Scholarships for the Senior Awards Booklet

NVHS Seniors and Parents,

If you have received and accepted a scholarship and you would like to be recognized in the online senior awards booklet, be sure to turn in a copy of your scholarship acceptance letter to the senior house by Friday, April 24th. Please note that monetary amounts will not be listed, just your name and the title of your scholarship. Please include any academic, athletic, talent-based, ROTC scholarships or military appointments.

Neuqua PTSA Officer Nominations

The Neuqua PTSA nominating committee places into nomination the following names for officer positions for the 2015-16 school year:

Elections will take place at our April PTSA meeting on Tuesday, April 21st. All members are encouraged to attend and participate in the elections and other PTSA business. Nominations from the floor will also be accepted at that time.

Neuqua Orchesis Dancer/Parent Informational Meeting

Calling all current and future Neuqua Dancers! Orchesis auditions are quickly approaching. Please attend a mandatory meeting on April 7th from 7-9pm in C202 to learn more about the audition process and the team. Auditions will begin April 13th. Visit for more information.

Senior Spectacular Ticket Sales

Buy your Senior Spectacular ticket for $65 before it is too late. Tickets for $65 will be sold in school on Tuesday, March 24th in the main hallway across from the LMC or by mail until spring break. After break, cost is $70 and cash only.

eLo Online Summer Course Registration

Hello students,

If you are interested in taking eLo courses this summer, complete your registration by March 18th. Please visit for enrollment information including tuition fees, summer FAQ’s, and general information about the online environment. The following courses are offered through eLo: American Government, Consumer Economics, Health, Intro to Music Theory and Geometry. Summer sessions will run: June 15-July 3 or July 6 – July 23.

The KidsMatter Student Job Fair - March 25th

The annual Job Fair is THE one-stop place for young people to find part time & seasonal jobs. The Fair provides job opportunities as well as mock interviews, resume workshops, and internship opportunities to prepare students for the workforce. Endorsed by the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, this year’s Fair has 50+ employers offering 1850 jobs!

The KidsMatter Student Job Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 5 – 7:30 PM, at North Central College’s Residence/Recreation Center.  Students will have the opportunity to do mock interviews with business professionals, and check out workforce prep stations, including resume building, social media, internships, etc.

Neuqua Valley PTSA meeting March 17

Please join us at the next Neuqua Valley PTSA meeting March 17 at 9:30 am in the faculty cafe. Dr McBride will discuss the PARCC testing happening this month among other topics. Hope to see you there!

PARCC Testing: March 16-March 20

Beginning on Monday, March 16 all juniors and any student taking Algebra II with Trigonometry or Honors Algebra II with Trigonometry will be take PARCC tests. The following resources provide important information for parents in terms of the tests on each day, the bell schedule for each day, and the purpose of these tests as mandated by the Illinois State Board of Education.  An important note is that there will not be an early dismissal on Wednesday, March 18 at Birkett or Main.  Instead, school at both buildings will end at 2:25 pm.

AP Exam Late Registration and PreAdminstration Sessions

Late registration for AP exams is available from March 12th-April 7th. There is a late fee of $10 per exam.

eLo Summer School 2015

Please advise, when you select the registration link you will be taken to the District 203 portal. All students are required to use the portal to register for a summer school course including students enrolled at Indian Prairie 204 or Community Unit School District 200.

Parent Diversity Advisory Council (PDAC) Meeting

The next Parent Diversity Advisory Council (PDAC) meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 17th, 7:00-9:00 pm, at CEC (Crouse Education Center, 780 Shoreline Drive in Aurora). The topic of the meeting will focus on how to create a welcoming and inclusive school environment for students and families of diverse religions/faiths. Sophomore Guidance Essentials

Attention Sophomore students! The third round of Guidance Essentials for your class will be held next week! They will be held during the first twenty minutes of your lunch period in the large forum room. Students must bring their ID and they should attend on their assigned day. Class of 2016 Required Immunizations

Beginning with the school year 2015-2016, any child entering the 12th grade shall show proof of having received two doses of meningococcal conjugate vaccine prior to entering the 12th grade. The first dose shall have been received on or after the 11th birthday, and the second dose shall have been received on or after the 16th birthday, at least eight weeks after the first dose. If the first dose is administered when the child is 16 years of age or older, only one dose is required.

2015 Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Registration is Online

For the May 2015 Advanced Placement Exams, students at Neuqua Valley High School will be registering online. This registration will take only a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access. Online exam registration will open on February 18th and close on March 11th. Students registering in this window will be charged $95.00 per exam. Late registration will take place March 12th through April 7th. During the late registration window there will be an additional late fee of $10.00 per exam. Please click the following link for the complete information:
