Neuqua Theatre - Barefoot in the Park

The Neuqua Valley Theatre Department is proud to present it's Winter Play, "Barefoot In The Park".

"Barefoot In The Park" takes the stage Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, January 23, 24, & 25 at 7pm, with an additional 3pm show on Saturday. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased prior to each performance. The performances will take place in the Black Box at Neuqua Valley's Main Campus.

"Barefoot In The Park" is a very funny show. Neil Simon is an iconic comedic playwright, and the humor in this show really holds up. The themes of relationships, love, compromise, and change are timeless and remain as relevant today as when the show premiered on Broadway in 1964...

The play opens literally with the end of the honeymoon. Paul and Corrie are just moving into their first apartment and getting their life set up, now that the fairytale phase is over. Suddenly they have to negotiate the realities of life together, a less-than-spectacular apartment, weird neighbors, and meddling mother-in-law. It turns out that happily ever after is more complicated than in the storybooks. Can their relationship survive the shock of day-to-day life together? You'll have to come to the show to find out.
