Neuqua Theatre Presents "The Sound of Music"

The Sound of Music is Rodgers and Hammerstein's masterpiece musical that tells the story of the von Trapp Family Singers. Set in Austria on the eve of the Anschluss in 1938, the musical tells the story of Maria, who takes a job as governess to a large family while she decides whether to become a nun. Maria falls in love with the children, and eventually their widowed father, Captain von Trapp. He is ordered to accept a commission in the German navy, but he opposes the Nazis. He and Maria decide on a plan to flee Austria with the children. Many songs from the musical have become fan favorites, such as 'Edelweiss', 'My Favorite Things', 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain', 'Do-Re-Mi', and the title song 'The Sound of Music'.

Parent Feedback Needed - The Illinois 5Essentials Survey

Parents across Illinois once again have the opportunity to participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school as it relates to the important elements of school effectiveness.

On behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois 5Essentials Survey is administered online by the University of Chicago. All survey responses are kept confidential. The state will provide survey results for individual schools only if a school has at least 20 percent of parents take the survey.

If you have children attending more than one school, we ask that you complete the survey for each school. Parents will have until February 15, 2019 to participate in the survey.

To take this short survey:

1. Visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/

2. Type and select “Dupage” as "County." (The county is the location of the school district's main office.)

3. Type your school's name into the "School" field and select your school.

Course Selection Process: 2019-2020

Dear Wildcats and Parents,
It’s the time of year to begin the process of course selection for the 2019-20 school year. On Wednesday, January 9th, we have course recommendation activities planned for each grade level. This is a normal school day grades 9-12 and the activities will take place during each class period. Please read the course enrollment materials for details regarding level placement, graduation requirements, and process timelines.

Parents, please use this link to view all materials ready for course selection.

As we do each year, students will be asked to enter selections through their HAC accounts. On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 7:00 pm, the course selection tab in Home Access Center will go live. Students and parents may view recommendations and select elective courses. Courses that are entered and locked are graduation requirements. We encourage parents and students to review the course selections together. If you have any questions, please contact the appropriate Class House. Home Access course selection link remains live until the end of the school day Thursday, January 31, 2019.
