NVHS Boosters - Ring In The New Year Raffle

The NVHS Booster Club is a not-for-profit organization supporting your Neuqua athletes, donating tens of thousands of dollars directly to the sports programs at Neuqua Valley. We can only be successful in our mission with the help of our members and community.

For 2018, we are introducing a new fundraiser -- the "Ring in the New Year" raffle. This is an all-cash raffle where ticket purchasers can win cash during that time of the year when we can all use a little extra money.

Each weekday in December, purchasers can win $25 daily. Prizes are doubled to $50 on the weekends and the winner on New Year's Eve will win $500! For every 500 tickets sold, another raffle will be opened, increasing the payout.

Tickets cost $10 each. We are asking our booster members to take a block of 10 tickets ($100) to sell to your friends, family, and neighbors. Anyone selling tickets will be entered into one of the Friday drawings for a chance to win $25. In addition, we will award the Neuqua team with the most sales $500, the second most $250, and the third-most $100, which is more money for your athletes!

Ticket sales start November 1 and run through November 30. Please consider selling tickets or at very least buying a few yourself. For more information, please email Tracy at nvhsvolunteers@aol.com.

Candy Donation For The Troops

We wanted to let our Neuqua Community know about the candy drive that is being organized by one of our freshman, Maya Stone.  Last year Maya took it upon herself to collect candy for the troops as a way to honor her family members that served our country.  In her first year, Maya was able to collect 550 pounds of candy which she donated to Operation Support Our Troops America.  This year, she is back at it, and I'm reaching out to all of you to contribute to this great cause.

The candy drive runs from November 2nd to November 14th and students can bring candy to collection points at the rotunda and cafeteria in both buildings.  Thanks in advance for supporting Maya and our troops.

Fun Facts About Candy Donation for the Troops

  • Donating candy  will increase the focus of your kids at home

18-19 News from the Guidance Team

Dear Wildcat Families,

The 2018-19 school year begins Tuesday, August 21st and we are excited to get started! Here are a few tips to help you begin your school year smoothly.

1. Schedules are viewable in Home Access Center. Print your finalized schedule on August 20th, and bring it with you to school on Day 1 August 21st. NV will not be printing schedules. We thank you for your cooperation to save on school resources! As a reminder, we are unable to accommodate any schedule change requests. If there is an error or an extenuating circumstance that has arisen, please contact your assigned counselor for review. To view your locker combination and network/Google/log in information, log in to HAC. From the home page, click School Links. Click Additional Information. Re-enter your login information to view. If your schedule is not viewable in HAC, please contact the appropriate grade level Class House Office.

2. Transcripts are updated and viewable in Home Access. Students in grades 10-12, please log in and review your transcript. If you see an error (e.g., summer course missing), please email your assigned counselor for assistance.

3. Families who have NVHS graduates, please let your alumni know that all alumni transcripts are available through the online service Parchment. Please direct them to the NVHS webpage, left side menu, click Transcripts, create an account with Parchment, and request transcripts. Alumni can request and pay for transcripts directly. This has greatly simplified and sped up the transcript request process. We are no longer able to accept paper requests/checks.

Wishing each family a wonderful close to summer and a successful year ahead. The Guidance Department looks forward to a great school year partnering with all of our Wildcat families.

Save the date! Class of 2019 Senior College Application Information Night
