AP + PLTW Student Achievement Award Announced

The College Board and Project Lead the Way have collaborated to recognize students for building skills for both college and future careers. The Student Achievement recognition shows colleges and employers that students are prepared for advanced coursework and interested in careers in their particular field of study. This program features pathways in three fields: engineering, biomedical science, and computer science. Each pathway includes AP courses and exams that provide an opportunity for advanced placement and/or college credit, and PLTW courses, and their corresponding End of Course assessments, designed to introduce students to the field, and specialization courses that focus on knowledge and skills needed for rewarding careers. Students must apply for this recognition and meet the following criteria:
  • complete 3 pathway courses—1 AP course, 1 PLTW course, and a third course of either AP or PLTW
  • earn a score of 3 or higher on the AP exams
  • earn a score of Proficient or higher on the PLTW End of Course Assessments
