The NVHS PTSA is pleased to announce that there were 35 entries in this year's Reflections competition, and 15 entries advanced to the IPPC level and to the DuPage West Region level of the competition.
In the literature category, senior Tajezvi Bhat advanced two entries titled The Irony of Freedom* and Let Your Imagination Fly, as well as senior Apoorva Tummala with her entries titled Paradise* and Valescere. Senior Terenz Jenkins' entry titled My Black in Beautiful advanced, as did freshman Shreya Rao's entry title A Withering Willow.
The musical entry from freshman Namir Thobani titled Let Your Imagination Fly advanced.
Photography entries from seniorTerenz Jenkins (My Black is Beautiful), senior Alyssa Ream (Up, Up and Away*), senior Rachel Ream (Carried Away and Jump for Joy), and freshman Namir Thobani (Let Your Imagination Fly) also advanced.
In the visual arts category, sophomore Eunsong Lee's entry titled Inside the Blood*, freshman Eshia Rustagi's entry titled Creative Imagination, and sophomore Joyce Zhou's entry titled Beyond This World* all advanced.
All of these students will be honored by the IPPC at an Exhibition and Awards Ceremony on February 9 from 6:15-9:00 PM at Scullen Middle School.
