Neuqua Valley Orchesis Holiday Dance Camp

Join the Neuqua Valley Orchesis Dance Company for this year's Holiday Dance Camp! On Saturday, December 6th the fun will begin at 9 a.m. when students will arrive at the Gold Building to eat breakfast and visit with the Orchesis dancers. The students will then be divided into small groups to learn a holiday-themed dance. During this time, parents are encouraged to run errands or work on holiday shopping. Parents should return at 12 p.m. to watch their dancers perform in the main gym at the Gold Building.

College of DuPage Application Day

A College of DuPage Admissions rep will be at Neuqua during all lunch periods on Wednesday, December 3 to assist NV seniors with completing the application process to attend COD.
If the College of DuPage is a part of your post-secondary planning strategy, students should bring their Social Security number and credit card information to the College and Career Center during their option period on December 3. In less than a class period, you will be able to complete your application to COD as well as learn pertinent information about attending, including scholarship info. The application fee is only $20.

One Book One School!

This year's One Book One School title is The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian by Sherman Alexie. The novel tells the story of the year when high school student, Arnold Spirit Jr. (aka Junior), leaves his reservation school with high hopes only to become a misfit at an upscale high school. Junior is funny and awkward but has big dreams and the courage it takes to achieve them. Winner of the National Book Award, The New York times describes the novel as "a gem of a book."

Pick up a copy at the LMC, read it, and join us for lunch-time discussions in January.

Neuqua Music Crystal Concert

Join our Grammy Award Winning Music Department at the Crystal Concert Dec 4th and 5th.  This concert is an incredible event featuring select groups of Chorus, Orchestra and Band students.  Due to the popularity of this concert, you must sign up online for free tickets for one of the four shows:  Thursday Dec 4  Doors open at 5:30pm  &  7:45pm OR Friday  Dec 5 Doors open at  5:30 pm & 7:45pm.  On-line ticketing is open from November 24 through December 1st at: www.neuquamusic.org

CTE Exploration Night

Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes have come a long way over the last decade! Parents and students from Middle School and High School are welcome to attend our 3rd annual CTE Exploration Night on Thursday, November 20th from 6:30-8pm to learn about classes in the Career & Technical Education Departments: Business Education, Family & Consumer Science, Media Communication, and Technology & Engineering.

Come and discover what CTE classes are available to help build college and career skills, and to explore course options in 21st century skill-based programs. You will have the opportunity to visit classrooms and labs (including the media area) and meet teachers and current students and hear more about the classes offered.
The evening will begin at 6:30pm in the Auditorium. From there, parents and students will be able to explore all four CTE areas. Please feel free to bring other Neuqua Valley community members with you - parents, high school students, or middle school students. Should you have any questions about the evening, please don't hesitate to contact one of the CTE Department Chairs via email:

Whether you are a current NVHS Men’s Lacrosse player and want to re-connect with teammates, plan to join the team as a new freshman player, or have interest in learning more about lacrosse and our exciting program at Neuqua Valley, we invite Players and Parents to an informative session where you can meet our Coaching Staff and Board of Directors.

If you are an athlete or want to try a new sport you need to consider Lacrosse. It’s easy to learn, your teammates are solid students and you get to play for your school.
All skill levels are welcome and NV Lacrosse is a NO-CUT sport with 3 levels: F/S, JV and V.
